A Message From Our Founder
My name is Virginia Grant, I am the full time caregiver for my sister who suffered an anoxic brain injury about 4 years ago. I never thought I would be a caregiver but I just didn’t want her to go into a nursing home. So on May 4, 2021 my journey as a caregiver began.
My path has been filled with many challenges, obstacles, tears and victories. I have persevered through it all because I was blessed with a very strong support system. I was surrounded by people that demanded that I take care of myself first.
I founded Assurance because I want all caregivers to understand this and begin to put themselves first. I know that this is hard because although there are over two million caregivers in the state of Florida alone, we often find ourselves alone and feeling isolated.
I believe that it was my support system that helped me along the way and I want Assurance to serve as a support system for the millions of caregivers that feel they are doing it alone and could use some help.
I know that we will be better once we are all connected. Please join me on my journey as a caregiver. We’re not perfect and that’s ok but we do the best that we can everyday for those that we love. Let’s wrap our arms around each other and let’s travel this trail together.
